"Mother"
Nippon TV confirmed the finalization of the Arabic language version of Nippon TV’s award-winning drama series "Mother" by Turkey's Medyapim. The Arabic series is titled “أُمي“ (“Oumi”, “Mother” in Arabic), and will premiere on MBC on May 4th and stream on its global streaming platform Shahid.
"Mother" achieved award-winning success when it first aired on Nippon TV in Japan in 2010. In addition to the Arabic version, the scripted format "Mother" has been licensed to Turkey, South Korea, Ukraine, Thailand, China, France, Spain, Mongolia, the Philippines and Greece, now recording 11 international remakes and making it the most exported scripted format out of Asia to the world.
The Turkish version titled "Anne" was produced by Medyapim and MF Yapim, and it has become mega-hits that have gone on to air in almost 50 territories around the world.

There are 5 main mothers, who go through different aspects of motherhood. Being a mother without giving birth to a child, whereas not being able to be a mother while giving birth to that same child… A collaboration between the culture and traditions of Saudi Arabia, and the Turkish crew’s knowledge and experience, 'Mother' has transitioned from cultures and found its Arabian story in Oumi.”
