“La Petite Cavale" has been selected to participate in the MIFA PITCH for feature films, scheduled to take place on 14 Wednesday June between 9 and 10:30 am in Annecy.
The project, produced by Picolo Pictures, is a 70-minute animated feature film project aimed at families and children from 5 years old. As with “Shooom's Odyssey”, their 26’ internationally award-winning film released in France in January 2020, “La Petite Cavale” is co-written by Julien Bisaro and Claire Paoletti, with production design by Julien Bisaro who will also direct.
During the session in Annecy, Claire Paoletti and Julien Bisaro will present an unpublished 2-minute teaser made with the support of the CNC (Audiovisual Innovation Support Fund) and the Procirep /Angoa. The project also received writing support from the Île-de-France Region. They will pitch an emotional, tender and funny film, but also tense and content-rich.
The story focuses on the process of becoming a dad, such as a young male blue penguin like Cookie. Then a volcanic eruption turns his New Zealand refuge upside down and sets a curious soft echidna’s egg in his path.
