"Amia"
Dori Media Group announced that it is going to Mipcom Cannes 2023 with over a dozen new series in production globally, and that it is launching international sales for two of its big new action-drama series: “Amia” and “Indal.”
The studio, which will have a full contingent of sales executives and representatives in its booth at Mipcom (P-1.F50), has a diverse slate of both scripted and unscripted series that are in production around the globe, spanning multiple territories, languages and cultures. These include dramas “Amia,” filmed in Uruguay and inspired by the terror attacks of 1992 on the Israeli embassy and 1994 against the Argentinian Jewish community; and “Indal,” an action-packed series that follows the kidnapping of a police officer by a group of Ethiopian Israeli youth.
Dori Media is also behind the remake of global hit and International Emmy-nominated romantic comedy “Lalola,” which is currently in production in Mexico for ViX, as well as “Hammam,” a modern Israeli-set enigmatic journey inspired by the biblical kingdom story of Saul and David, set in an abandoned military base.
Other series Dori Media will be showcasing at Mipcom include drama “15 a la Hora” (a brand-new remake of the successful series “Minimum Wage”), produced by Paramount, which follows three Latina women in Los Angeles, who take charge of their own destiny opening a cleaning service business; and erotic psychological thriller “Losing Alice.”
On the unscripted side, the studio is bringing the hit international format “Power Couple” and the globally popular shiny floor game show “The Best of All.” Moreover, Dori Media will also be selling additional windows for the award-winning hit “Shitsel” and dramedy “Nehama,” a hilarious series about a father of five going through a mid-life crisis.
“We are coming to Mipcom with one of our biggest slates of original programming in Dori Media’s history, with a diverse collection of high-quality series that are being produced across the globe in multiple languages. Our two new action-drama series, ‘Amia’ and ‘Indal,’ are already creating a lot of buzz, as is our remake of the hit Spanish comedy ‘LaLola,’” said Nadav Palti, CEO and President of Dori Media.
