Seven. One Studios International is heading to Mipcom 2025 with a diverse content lineup, showcasing a slate that spans unscripted formats, returning reality hits, and newly developed scripted series. The company’s robust offering reflects a deliberate strategy to capitalize on genre diversity and strong international demand for scalable IP.
Topping the unscripted portfolio is "Match My Ex," a provocative new twist on dating formats, produced by Madame Zheng for Joyn in Germany, Austria, and One+ in Switzerland. In this format, celebrity singles rely on their ex-partners to play matchmaker, sparking emotional tension, scandal, and the occasional second chance. Following strong performance metrics, the show has already been commissioned for a second season.
Also debuting at the market is "Play That Song Again," a nostalgia-infused singing competition where modern performers reinterpret iconic '80s hits by legends such as Madonna, Michael Jackson, and Cyndi Lauper. Produced by Herriemakers for RTL Netherlands, the show features a live studio audience that awards a "Gold Record" to the most compelling performance.
Adventure and survival merge in "The Race," a stripped-back competition format that follows five content creators on an unpredictable journey. With only a paper map, sleeping gear, and an emergency phone, participants must navigate to an undisclosed finish line. The second season was a top-10 fixture on ProSiebenSat.1's streaming platform Joyn for nine weeks, and a third season is already in production through studio flitz.
The global success of "Married at First Sight" continues to drive expansion. Two new spin-offs will debut at Mipcom. In "Married at First Sight: The Last Resort," produced by July August Productions for Keshet Channel 12 in Israel, twelve singles with past marriages marry strangers in an environment curated for healing and connection. Meanwhile, "Married at Second Sight" introduces a new twist: couples meet not at the altar, but at their engagement party, before jetting off to a tropical island. With only three weeks to decide their fate, the stakes are higher than ever. The format premiered on Joyn and SAT.1 in Germany and was produced by Redseven Entertainment.
Seven. One Studios International is also showcasing over 200 hours of English-language reality content from its established franchises. Highlights include "Married at First Sight USA" season 19, "Married at First Sight UK" season 10, "Married at First Sight Australia" season 12, and the first seasons of "Stranded on Honeymoon Island" in both the UK and Australia.
On the scripted side, "The Cooking Academy" (120 x 30’) will headline Seven. One’s drama catalogue. Set in a prestigious culinary school, the series blends fierce rivalries and romance in a high-stakes, high-flavor environment. It targets both domestic buyers and international streamers seeking bingeable daily drama.
Another key scripted launch is "Frier & 50" (8 x 30’), a comedic drama about an actress navigating professional setbacks, menopause, and impending grandmotherhood with biting humor. Determined to reclaim her narrative, the protagonist turns her life into a comedy series as she races to sell it before turning 50.
Returning scripted offerings include "The Country Doctor," a daily series with 262 x 30’ episodes now available. Produced by Filmpool Entertainment and renewed for a fourth season by SAT.1, the series has gained traction across Europe, airing on TV2 (Hungary), Duo Media (Estonia), Nova TV (Croatia), TV Polska (Poland), and Planet TV (Slovenia). In Germany, it is available via Disney+, Joyn, and SAT.1.
"The Blind Detective" also returns with 13 x 90’ TV movies available. The franchise, produced by Tivoli Film Produktion, remains a ratings success for ARD in Germany and ORF in Austria.
