Onza Distribution presents at MIPTV 2022 “Crimes,” the series produced by Goroka and True Crime Factory, which has been a success during its broadcasting in Spain. The production, belonging to the true crime genre, is currently broadcast on TV3 and Movistar.
“We’re very happy to add ‘Crimes’ to our portfolio. True crime series have a big following internationally. It’s one of the genres most sought after by buyers. The production quality on ‘Crimes’ is impeccable and with the success it has enjoyed in Spain, we are in no doubt that it will have an excellent international run,” said Carlos Garde, the Director of Onza Distribution.
“Crimes,” with 24 episodes over 2 seasons, has maintained good audience ratings throughout its two years of broadcast at TV3, with a 22.5% share on its first broadcast. Also, in January, the premium channel Movistar launched the series. The third season has been confirmed and will premiere soon.
The series, directed by Carles Porta, tells the story of over 40 real crimes from the last 10 years. Unlike other true crime shows, “Crimes” does not show experts, rather, the audience sees the direct and indirect statements from those who participated in the stories, either because they were there or they investigated them.
