Newen Connect has comissioned its factual entertainment format A Real Job: Nurses," originally created and produced by De Mensen for VTM in Belgium, to ProSieben SAT.1. “These last one and a half years, in particular, have shown how important nursing is. With this great project, I'm happy to be bringing a show to the German TV market that really honors this profession and hopefully also helpsinspire people to take up this exciting and challenging job,” said Rainer Laux, Managing Director of Rainer Laux Productions.
Produced by Rainer Laux Productions in collaboration with Endemol Shine Germany commissioned by ProSieben SAT.1, the show follows 6 celebrities who set to work in a hospital, from the emergency room to the geriatric ward, from the oncology unit to labour and deliveries, getting a first-hand taste of the challenging work and life of hospital nurses. The five-part show Die Herzblut-Aufgabe – Promis in der Pflege will premiere on ProSieben SAT.1 on Monday October 18th at 8:15pm. “SAT.1 and Endemol Shine Germany are the ideal partners to bring the format of 'A Real Job: Nurses' to Germany and the timing of this launch is perfect. The season will star various media stars, including actor and TV host Wayne Carpendale, actress, reality star and TV host Jenny Elvers, singer Patrick Lindner, model Lilly Becker,comedian Faisal Kawusi and choreographer, model, and “Strictly Come Dancing” jury member Jorge González. Newen Connect is tasked with the global distribution of De Mensen formats.
