Nippon TV announced its ability to top the Annual Individual Ratings Triple Crown Title for 2020, scoring at the top of the charts as individual ratings champion in the All Day, Prime Time, and Golden Times categories. “I thank all our supporters who helped us win the 2020 Annual Individual Ratings Triple Crown Title,” Yoshinobu Kosugi, Representative Director, President, and Executive Operating Officer said. “I would like to express my deepest gratitude to the loyal viewers who supported our programs, as well as our sponsors and partners who enabled our production.”

The media company implemented a new system that consists of measuring individual ratings rather than household ratings as it has done in the past years. The success marks the tenth year in a row that Nippon TV has earned the title.

As a result of the Covid-19 pandemic, the company has found other strategies that have aided them in providing accurate news and information programs. The initiatives include the 43rd season of “24-Hour Television,” to provide wholesome entertainment while still keeping them informed.

This year, Nippon TV hopes to continue offering high quality content across multiple platforms, which include linear, broadcasting satellite, and communications satellite. Other outlets include Hulu in Japan, TVer, among many others.
