Endeavor Content backed production company Nordic Drama Queens recently appointed renowned producer, Helen Ahlsson. The creative is scheduled to begin her tenure on 1 September 2022“Josefine, Line, Sandra and the whole team in Stockholm, Copenhagen and LA vibrates of possibilities, ambitions and new ways of thinking. After many years in the greatest film bunker in the world I was longing back to production and the choice of Nordic Drama Queens was an easy one,” Ahlsson said.

Ahlsson is credited with producing Lisa Langseth’s "Pure" ("Till det som är vackert"), where Alicia Vikander was introduced, and executive produced Oscar nominated "A man called Ove."“I have worked with Helen on several occasions before and was always impressed by her drive, stubbornness and passion for producing film and TV. After years as commissioning editor at Moving Sweden Helen also has the best possible knowledge on new talent in the industry. That, combined with an extensive experience as a producer, is very unique and something we are thrilled to strengthen the company with.” says Sandra Harms, producer and co-founder, Nordic Drama Queens.

Before accepting the role with the company, Ahlsson contributed to the Swedish Film Institute, where she led "Moving Sweden," an initiative for new talent among writers and directors. "Moving Sweden has been a great success with films at festivals like Cannes, Berlin, Venice, Rotterdam and Sundance, The Guldbagge awards and viral hits like King Fury, with 50 million streams online," a recent press release reveals.

Before the Swedish Film Institute, she was a producer at Tre Vänner (now SF Studios) and has, beside the above-mentioned titles, also produced the Guldbagge-awarded Armwrestler from Solitude and Kid Svensk plus The Fjällbacka Murders. She also served as Swedish Film Institutes commissioning editor for international co-productions and Sweden’s representative at Eurimages.

She joins Nordic Drama Queens as the company confirms the production of the TV-series "Cry Wolf" ("Vargasommar"), written by the Bridge-duo Hans Rosenfeldt and Camilla Ahlgren for TV4/Cmore. Nordic Drama Queens was launched in September 2021 by Sandra Harms, Josefine Tengblad and Line Winther Skyum Funch, together with Endeavor Content. The company has recently also hired producer Eiffel Mattsson, senior legal counsel Christine Emilie Græsholt and assistant producer Emma Rönn.
