OneGate Media has partnered with Bravado Equity for the global distribution of the high-end political thriller series "Dangerous Truth" ("Das zweite Attentat"). OneGate Media will manage the international distribution of the six-part drama series, and Bravado Equity will hand the financing.

Inspired by true events that took place in the lead up to the 2003 invasion of Iraq, "Dangerous Truth" (6x45’) centres around 35-year-old Alexander Jaromin, who for 20 years has been living with his mother in Athens under assumed identities in the witness protection program of the Federal Criminal Police Office (BKA). Alexander’s father and sister were killed in a terrorist attack in 2003, and his memories of them are overshadowed by unanswered questions.

Tormented by the unknown, the series follows Alexander to Berlin, on his desperate search to uncover the truth behind his father’s death.

"Dangerous Truth" features a stellar cast including Desirée Nosbusch ("Bad Banks"), Jakob Diehl ("All Quiet on the Western Front"), Noah Saavedra ("Spectre"), Daniel Lommatzsch ("Am Ende ist man tot"), and Deleila Piasko ("Agent Hamilton"). The political thriller, which was filmed across Greece, Germany and Luxembourg, is directed by award-winning Barbara Eder ("The Swarm").

The series is a coproduction between EIKON Media, WDR and ARD Degeto Film along with Deal Productions (Stargazer, Tamara) in Luxembourg for ARD.

Tania Reichert-Facilides, CEO of OneGate Media says "In today’s market, new partnerships, strategic networks, and flexibility are essential to be able to collaborate on high quality content like 'Dangerous Truth'. Our distribution expertise teamed with Ernst Ludwig Ganzert at EIKON Media on production and Eric Welbers at Bravado on financing, makes for a strong collaboration. Both companies have outstanding reputations in the industry, and we look forward to sharing this incredible series with the world.”

Eric Welbers, CEO of Bravado says "We are constantly looking for high-quality productions with international relevance. We firmly believe that 'Dangerous Truth' meets these criteria and can become an international success story. We are very excited about the partnership with OneGate Media, as our experiences and competencies perfectly complement each other for such a project."

Ernst Ludwig Ganzert, CEO of Eikon Media says "After the collaboration with WDR, ARD Degeto, and Deal Productions during the production, we are now also delighted to work with such excellent partners for international distribution. The themes and creative execution of our series are truly international, and we are confident that the series will find a global audience with the support of OneGate Media and Bravado."
