PBS ACQUIRES “VIENNA BLOOD” FROM RED ARROW STUDIOS INTERNATIONAL

Filmed in Vienna and starring Matthew Beard (‘The Imitation Game’), and Juergen Maurer (‘Vorstadtweiber’, ‘Tatort’), the show is set on the 1900s and the two men who have to use all they have to solve lethal and mysterious crimes.

Content producer and distributor Red Arrow Studios International sold "Vienna Blood" series to US TV station PBS. This thrilling six-part drama based on Frank Tallis’ novels, is written by Steve Thompson (Sherlock). "Vienna Blood" is directed by Academy Award and Emmy nominee Robert Dornhelm (‘Anne Frank: The Whole Story’) and Umut Dag (‘Cracks in Concrete’). Producers are Hilary Bevan Jones and Jez Swimer for Endor Productions, and Andreas Kamm and Oliver Auspitz for MR Film.

About this acquisition, Maria Bruno Ruiz, VP of programming at PBS said: “At PBS we love to bring dramas full of texture and intrigue to our audiences, and this series is definitely part of that. Vienna Blood is captivating and we are sure it will become a fan-favorite.”
At its England premiere on TV station BBC Two, Vienna Blood exceeded its average and achieved a 50% market increase, becoming the second most watched drama of the year.
