"THE FIXIES" GAIN FAME IN DUBAI
On the other hand, Riki Group informed that "The Fixies" were chosen as a mascot of the Russian Pavilion at the World Exhibition “Expo-2020”. The mascot will be presented as a part of the big presentation of the Russian Pavilion on April 8-9, 2021 in Dubai at the "Russia Creates" conference.
“We are very happy that the characters of the series 'The Fixies' will become mascots of the Russian Pavilion at the World Exhibition "Expo 2020" in Dubai. Our animation project has already become genuinely international, and its subjects, which are technology, science, and the structure of the environment, are close and understandable to audiences around the world. 'The Fixies' has already gained popularity in Asia, and with the help of the exhibition we expect to repeat the success in the Middle East. We already have such an example, because in 2010, the Russian Pavilion at 'Expo-2010' in Shanghai was represented by the characters of the animated series 'Kikoriki'," said Julia Nikolaeva, General producer of Riki Group.
Alexey Gruzdev, General Commissioner of the Russian Pavilion, Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation: "The theme of the Russian Pavilion is 'Creative Mind: Defining the Future'. Therefore, one of our priorities at 'Expo 2020' in Dubai is to show the world the creative potential of Russia. And the chosen mascot is one of its successful examples.”
"EXPO-2020" exhibition will be held in Dubai (UAE) from October 1, 2021 to March 31, 2022 and will be one of the largest in history. The subject of the World Exhibition is "Connecting Minds, Creating the Future".
