Samka Group hires Cartoon Network's Tramm Wigzell has head of content

Paris-based Samka Group has hired industry veteran and ex Cartoon Network alum Tramm Wigzell as its newly created global head of content.The appointment marks a significant step for the group led by CEO Samuel Kaminka, and a commitment to the consolidation - and long term growth - of its global content offer, including projects for the US market.

Samka Group operates a number of content, production and distribution businesses across EMEA including Paris-based animation studio Samka and live action fiction studio Kam&Ka, Tel Aviv based live action fiction and factual documentary production company Sklan&Ka, Milan-based live action fiction and animation studio Good Karma, London based kids and family distribution business Jetpack Distribution, and Angoulême based 2D animation service provider studio Unique Animation. Samka Group is currently working on more than twenty projects in various stages of development and production.

As head of content, Tramm will direct all developments for Samka, Sklan&Ka, Good Karma and Jetpack Distribution and will initiate projects in the USA. Working alongside each company's leadership team, he will head up a portfolio of animated and live action series ranging from preschool to teen and young adult fiction.
