Script Line documentary "Wibaux Wanted" to be air on SDPB in the US

Written and directed by Loïc WIBAUX and produced by Artisans du Film, the film focuses on Pierre Wibaux, who left his French hometown in 1883 to achieve the American dream.

French production and distribution company Script Line, founded by former Zodiak and Banijay executive Gini Lorin, confirms the airing of the French documentary "Wibaux Wanted" on the local PBS station of South Dakota, SDPB, on April 16, 2025. Lorin has already sold the title to Montana PBS in 2023 and to WYOMING PBS in 2024.

Written and directed by Loïc Wibaux, and produced by Artisans du Film for the local TV Channel WEO in Northern France, "Wibaux Wanted" tells the story of Pierre Wibaux, son of a well-known family, who left his hometown in 1883 to achieve the American dream. His exceptional success is engraved on the map of the United States by a city and a County which bear his name, Wibaux.



"Wibaux Wanted" was shot on the roads of Montana and Dakota, within a long-lasting time, exploring family and collective memories. The film combining landscapes, fallen myths, history, an intimate journey and more globally, a reflection about the meaning of life through the letters he sent to his brother.

After several exchanges during the Mipcom 2024 and during CMPA (Canadian Media Producers Association) and the USPA co-production mission 2025 during Series Mania, Gini Lorin has received the confirmation that her idea of adapting the documentary in is drama TV series of 4 episodes is attractive and should find an audience, so she starts now working with the producer Chloé Guilbert and with the director Loïc Wibaux to find the perfect partners for the writing.
