Small World IFT has acquired the international format distribution rights to family entertainment title, "Noot vir Noot," translated as "Note for Note" from South African Broadcasting Corporation (SABC). “I love finding new entertainment properties in places others don’t dig into. We have been after this format for three years, I travelled to South Africa last year to make it happen," Tim Crescenti, Co-owner at Small World IFT said. "'Noot vir Noot' is such a fun, family show. Add in those super-crazy numbers of episodes with so many different fantastic games, and this is exactly what viewers are craving around the world."

First broadcast in 1991, the SAFTA award-winning "Noot vir Noot," is South Africa’s longest-running game show and most popular Afrikaans show of all time, spanning over 750 episodes across 47 seasons. Created by Johan Stemmet and Johan van Rensburg from production company Stemmburg Television, the show continues to be a flagship title for SABC, attracting new and loyal audiences with its format, establishing "Noot vir Noot" as part of South Africa culture with contestants waiting two years to appear on the show.

Renowned for discovering hit local formats from around the world, and transforming them into global TV juggernauts, Small World's previous breakout successes include South Korean international hit "Grandpas Over Flowers/ Better Late Than Never" and Rose d’ Or Grand winner "I Survived a Japanese Game Show." Small World’s president Tim Crescenti uncovered the Japanese treasure ‘Dragons’ Den," also known as "Shark Tank," while at Sony International Television.

In ‘Noot vir Noot’’, all questions are based on the recognition and identification of melodies, titles, lyrics and general knowledge of the local and international music scene. Featuring four contestants, a star presenter, live band or DJ and surprise music superstar performance, the show runs across 13 diverse rounds and an SMS/ social media viewer participation element which has proven hugely popular with South African audiences. With a base of over 200 fast-paced, wildly diverse games and surprising twists and turns, ‘Note for Note’ is packed with loads of entertainment and variety for the entire family. When contestants are introduced at the start of the episode, they are greeted live by their loved ones at home via the big game screen. The family will be watching from their own living rooms and react to the contestant’s progress during the course of the show. The contestants battle to prove their musical expertise and be the one to take home the jackpot.
