Sony Pictures Entertainment has appointed Keith Le Goy to Chairman of Distribution and Networks. “Keith, along with Josh Greenstein, drove the effort to combine the studio’s theatrical, home entertainment and television distribution marketing operations into one unit, and established a regional model to integrate our international distribution businesses, which is creating greater collaboration among the various teams and opening up more opportunities with our partners around the world,” CEO Tony Vinciquerra said.

Up until now, Le Goy had been serving as President of the division. With this promotion, he will have oversight of SPT’s international networks operations, programming and strategy group and the Funimation business. He will also co-lead the recently merged theatrical, home entertainment and television distribution and marketing businesses with Josh Greenstein, under Tom Rothman’s oversight.

He recently spearheaded two major deals with Netflix and Disney, which both closed earlier this spring. They collectively garnered approximately $3 billion to the company and served as an upgrade over a prior first-window deal with Starz, building Sony’s major film and TV supplier sources. It also manages popular franchises like "Spider-Man" and "Jumanji" on large streaming platforms, an appropriate tactic for Sony since the company doesn't own subscription streaming outlet to stock.

Sony Pictures will now three chairman-level leaders running the studio’s lines of business and divisions under Vinciquerra. The other two executives besides Le Goy are Tom Rothman, who runs the motion picture group and Ravi Ahuja, who heads up the TV studios and corporate development business. Le Goy has worked with Sony Pictures for 22 years.
