STUDIOCANAL BEGINS FILMING FOR XAVIER DOLAN’S “THE NIGHT LOGAN WOKE UP”

The shooting process for Dolan’s first drama series by Canal+ and Quebecor Content is taking place in Montreal. VVS Films is responsible for brokering the deal.

StudioCanal has initiated its shooting session in Montreal for Xavier Dolan’s first drama series, “The Night Logan Woke Up.”

Nanoby’s Nancy Grant and Jasmyrh Lemoine serve as producers alongside Dolan. Javi Hernandez and Harry Grivakis of VVS Films who brokered the deals on behalf of the filmmakers will also contribute as executive producers. Studiocanal will distribute the premium drama internationally once its completed for release in 2022.

The multi-award-winning and globally recognized for his work as an actor, director, screenwriter, and editor, Dolan will write, direct and produce the 5 x 60’ French-language thriller, as well as appear in the role of Elliot. Dolan has been awarded the Jury Prize at the 2014 Cannes Film Festival for Mommy and the Grand Prix at the 2016 Cannes Film Festival for "It's Only the End of the World." He has also won several Canadian Screen and César Awards. 

Original cast members from Michel Marc Bouchard’s 2019 psychological theatrical production include Julie Le Breton, Magalie Lépine-Blondeau, Éric Bruneau, Patrick Hivon and Julianne Côté. Additional members include Djebril Zonga, star of Cannes Festival Jury Prize winner and four time César Award winner "Les Misérables" directed by Ladj Ly; Pier-Gabriel Lajoie, Jasmine Lemée, Sylvie Drapeau and Sandrine Bisson.
