Telefilm brings in two new regional feature film executives

Kim Guise will fill in the role of Western Regional Feature Film Executive for a two-year term starting 6 June, 2022, while Anita Damiani has been appointed Quebec Regional Feature Film Executive for the Francophone market as of 1 April, 2022, for a five-year term.

Telefilm Canada is pleased to welcome two new Feature Film Executives for the Western and Quebec regions. Kim Guise has been named Western Regional Feature Film Executive for a two-year term starting 6 June, 2022, while Anita Damiani has been appointed Quebec Regional Feature Film Executive for the Francophone market as of 1 April, 2022, for a five-year term. Both roles reflect Telefilm’s evolution of its programs to meet the needs of the redefined landscape. Guise will be based out of the Vancouver office while Damiani will remain in the Montreal office.

Under her new role, Guise will be reporting to the National Feature Film Executive for the English market. She will help to support emerging talent and render financing decisions for feature films that represent the Western Canadian region. 

With over 20 years of experience in the film and television industry, including 10 years as an investment analyst at Telefilm in Vancouver, Guise has been involved in the audiovisual industry for most of her career. As a lawyer, business affairs advisor and production executive, Guise is passionate about enabling people from diverse backgrounds and experiences to tell stories that are meaningful to them and their communities. 

Reporting to the National Feature Film Executive for the French market, Damiani is responsible for making funding decisions for the French-language feature film market to show a distinct Quebecois point of view and support emerging talent.  A graduate of Communications Studies, the executive has garnered over 20 years of experience in the industry, including 16 years at Telefilm as a distribution analyst, marketing specialist and lead for the national Theatrical Exhibition Program and French-language documentaries.
