Kanal D’s Turkish drama "Three Sisters," the local leader of Tuesday nights, has made a strong start to its journey in MIPTV 2022. Ranked as the "The Top Drama in All Groups" again with the seventh episode broadcasted on the second day of MIPTV, "Three Sisters" has been initially licensed to Romania, Macedonia and Israel. "Three Sisters" will meet with its global audience on Romania's Pro TV and Macedonia's Citel in the CEE region. Meanwhile, the show continues on air every Tuesday on Kanal D’s primetime.

An instant bestseller in 2018, penned by the acclaimed author İclal Aydın, the show is a brand new adaptation to a television series from production house Süreç Film. It stars Reha Özcan, İclal Aydın, Berker Güven, Özgü Kaya, Almila Ada and Melisa Berberoğlu.

In the story, once upon a time in a beautiful yet mysterious country, there lived three sisters named Türkan, Dönüş, and Derya. As a close-knit family, they would dream of a promising future every night. Perhaps such an upbringing, that was similar to a fairy tale on the pine-scented streets of Ayvalık, had not prepared them for the grim reality of adulthood.

Over time, the sisters discover that life and the choices that are accompanied by it are not as easy as they seem. Inconceivable secrets can be hidden even by those who are trusted the most, and horrific illnesses can lead to the resurrection of the past. This leads them to the question: is there anything in the world that time cannot heal?

"Three Sisters" is a story about a family that comes from an old house in the olive tree-scented cobblestone streets of Ayvalık. It is not a story that solely consists of sorrow, but one that demonstrates its characters retracing their steps back to the good old times. By channeling their past, a journey of recovery begins.
