Thomas Drachkovitch and Jason Hafford teamed up at Dream Bay Entertainment

The former Amazon executive joined the ex Creative Arts Agency (CAA) agent to lead the UK-based talent agency and production business.

Thomas Drachkovitch and Jason Hafford unveiled Dream Bay Entertainment. The company, which Drachkovitch launched last year after exiting his role as Original Series Development Executive at Amazon Studios, comprises film and television production, literary and talent management, and media advisory services divisions. Based out of London, Drachkovitch and Hafford stated they plan to offer “a unique blend of strategic guidance, development expertise, and industry insights.”

With our combined expertise and passion for international storytelling, we are confident that DBE will continue to push the boundaries of what’s possible in the global entertainment industry.”

Drachkovitch had previously been based in India, where he helped spearhead the launch of Amazon Studios’ first Indian content slate out of Mumbai, including shows such as “Comicstaan”, “One Mic Stand”, “Four More Shots Please!” and “The Family Man”. He also developed Indian sports and true-crime docs such as “Sons of the Soil: Jaipur Pink Panthers” and “Dancing on the Grave”. He then moved to London, where he worked on a UK slate including “Ten Percent”, “Fifteen Love”, “Three Pines”, “James May: Our Man in…” and “Lovestruck High”.

Hafford was an agent in CAA’s global television department, being based in London, Mumbai and Los Angeles. While at CAA, he worked with “Dreaming Whilst Black” creator and star Adjani Salmon, Anupam Tripathi (“Squid Game”), Anurag Kashyap (“Gangs of Wasseypur”), Huma Qureshi (“Army of the Dead”), Deepika Padukone (“XXX3: Return of Xander Cage”), Priyanka Chopra (“Quantico”), Smriti Mundhra (“Indian Matchmaking”), SS Rajamouli (“RRR”), Tima Shomali (“Alrawabi School For Girls”), Vikramaditya Motwane (“Sacred Games”) and Zoya Akhtar (“The Archies”). He also advised on the launches of IMAX and Cirque du Soleil in India.
