The seven-part series produced by Jaque Content arrives in the United States exclusively on Vix’s free streaming Spanish-language service thanks to the collaboration with Rmvistar.
Vix has acquired a Spanish-language US license for the successful Argentinian thriller “La Chica Que Limpia” filmed in the province of Córdoba. The free streaming of the show arrives in the United States thanks to the alliance between Vix and the content distributor Rmvistar. “La Chica Que Limpia” was written and created by Lucas Combina, Irene Gissara, Greta Molas, and Jaque Content, produced by Jaque Content.
The two-time Martin Fierro award winner tells the story of Rosa, a single mother whose impeccable cleaning methods bring her to the attention of a criminal organization that forces her to “collaborate,” turning any crime scene into a clean place without a trace. This works to keep the gang safe until the police begin to investigate some of the chemical products used at the crime scenes. “I can't wait for the viewer's reaction to the many twists and turns of ‘La Chica Que Limpia,’” said Rick Rodriguez, Head of OTT Content & Content Operations at Vix. “It's an honor to be able to bring this great product to free streaming audiences in the US for the first time.”
Rose Marie Vega, Founder and President of Rmvistar, added: “With its deeply personal storylines and richly drawn characters, Rmvistar is thrilled to see Vix bring this highly original and compelling series to Latin viewers across the U.S.”. Vega saw the global potential in the original Spanish-language series "La Chica Que Limpia" and brought the format to The Gersh Agency and Warner Bros. Television (WBTV), leading to the format being readied as "The Cleaning Lady", an English-language pilot for series at FOX Network.
"We are very happy with this deal with VIX, that will expand LCQL's footprint in the US Hispanic market through this fast-growing platform. Jaque Content's strategy is to make content from Latin America available globally. With our offices in Mexico and Argentina we have been developing content for global audiences” said Paola Suárez, VP Development and Production at Jaque Content.
The VIX platform offers users more than 20,000 hours of free, ad-supported movies, series, and soap operas produced in Hollywood, Latin America, and from around the world. “La Chica Que Limpia” is now available on Vix’s free streaming service platform, and in all its mobile platforms, VIX.com, Roku, Fire TV, Android TV, and Apple TV.
