Wildbrain Television greenlights season three of "Ruby And The Well"

WildBrain Television  has greenlit a third season of the family drama "Ruby and the Well." The eight-part title is currently filming in Toronto. The new season is scheduled to deliver this summer and will premiere in Canada on Family Channel in fall 2023.“We’re delighted that families at home and abroad are embracing this wonderful Canadian drama,” said Katie Wilson, VP, Channels and Global Acquisitions at WildBrain Television. “With charming characters and magical storylines, Ruby and the Well is a truly heartwarming series offering a shared experience that our audience needs right now. We’re excited that the adventures with Ruby and her friends will continue in a new season.”

"Ruby and the Well" is produced by Shaftesbury and Family Channel, in association with BYUtv, and with the support of the Shaw Rocket Fund. Serving as global distributor forthe title, Wildbrain has also secured new international deals for seasons one and two of the series. AMC Networks International for Spain and YLE for Finland have each signed on for seasons one and two. Prime Video in Germany, Showmax in Africa, TVNZ in  New Zealand and MBC Mauritius in Africa have picked up season one. SIC in Portugal and Canada’s national public broadcast Radio-Canada’s online streaming platform, ICI Tou.tv ETXRA, are on board for season two after airing the first season.

In Season 3, Ruby emerges from the challenges of the previous season and doubles down on her commitment to being a well keeper. After all, granting wishes is who she is. But as the well heaps on more and more demands and Ruby holds herself to ever-higher standards, something’s got to give. First, it’s school and friends, but when she lets down her family big time, she can’t ignore the problem any longer. Doing it all may prove to be too chellenging, even for Ruby.
