“Cities of Crime”
PRIME Entertainment Group has sealed a new deal with German broadcaster ZDF for its Crime/Investigation documentary series “Cities of Crime” 5 x 52’ to air on ZDF Info and ZDF neo.
The series follows closely different police squads as they patrol and deal with murders, prostitution, and drug traffic in the most dangerous cities in the world. With a mix of undercover cameras and insider scenes, “Cities of Crime” 1x52’ is a poignant immersion among then men and women fighting crimes.
Launched in 1963 ZDF (Zweites Deutsches Fernsehen), is a major player in Germany and the second public broadcasters in the country. The group owns various stations including flagship channel ZDF, ZDF Info, and youth-oriented ZDF neo.
PRIME and ZDF have been working together closely these last years and this new deal marks the continuation of their successful collaboration. “ZDF have been great partners for us these last years. We started our collaboration with some high-profile biographical documentaries of pop culture icons like Madonna and Hollywood A-listers like Angelina Jolie. The diversity and production value of our documentary catalogue opened new business opportunities with the documentaries of other genres: social, political, crime, and investigation. Our documentary offer is increasing every month and today we are proud to count among content providers of such major networks as ZDF, RAI, Schweizer Radio und Fernsehen, RTBF, RTL, National Geographics, PBS, Al Jazeera and more." Says Alexandra Marguerite, Head of Sales of Prime Entertainment Group.
Previous deals between the two companies have notably included Celebrity and Political/Social documentaries such as “The True Story of Madonna” 1x52’, “Love and Sex in North Africa” 1x52’, “The True Story of Angelina Jolie” 1x52 and “Ariel Sharon’s Final Battle” 1x90’ among others.
