Zone3 International signs distribution deal with Wild Bunch TV for "Motel Paradis"

The series is directed and co-written by Stéphane Hogue and Sophie Deraspe, who also served as Director. The title is produced by Véronique Jacob on behalf of Zone3.

Zone3 International has signed an international distribution agreement with Wild Bunch TV for the global distribution of its series "Motel Paradis." “I’m delighted by Wild Bunch TV’s enthusiasm toward Motel Paradis, and I am convinced their amazing team will know how to make this high-quality series thrive outside of Canada,” Mélanie Ratté, Senior Director, International Distribution and Business Development at Zone3 International said.

In "Motel Paradis," 22-year-old Jen is convinced that her 14-year-old sister Noémie did not commit suicide following a near-death experience. Determined to solve the mystery surrounding her sister’s disappearance, Jen returns to her remote hometown, accompanied by a retired police detective. Together, they will lead a highly unconventional investigation. Available on Club Illico (Quebecor Content) since October 2022 and featuring Nahéma Ricci and Stéphane Gagnon, the crime drama is about the search for truth, that unfolds over six one-hour episodes.

"Motel Paradis" was also crowned Gold Winner in the Television – Series: Drama category at the 44th Annual Telly Awards, which honors the best work created within television and across video, for all screens, worldwide. Motel Paradis has also won Best Editing in MOW/Mini-Series at the 2023 Canadian Cinema Editors Awards. Yet another significant honor for this Québec fiction, which has been nominated twice at the 2023 edition of the Prix Gémeaux, for Best Sound: Fiction and Best Cinematography: Fiction. Winners will be announced on 17 September.
