Apple TV+ ordered “The Supermodels" for the service. The event docuseries will feature interviews and revisit the iconic modeling careers and unique ‘90s fashion scene of Naomi Campbell, Cindy Crawford, Linda Evangelista, and Christy Turlington, which continues to shed influence today.“I have long been interested in the real story behind the “original supermodels,” the four iconic women who not only defined the world of fashion in the 90s, they set the stage for how beauty became the access point for defining the culture,” Executive Producer, Brian Grazer said.
The documentary was created by Imagine Documentaries, who signed an exclusive, first-look agreement with Apple. The project will be directed and executively produced by a joint partnership between by Barbara Kopple, Brian Grazer and Ron Howard, along with Campbell, Crawford, Evangelista, and Turlington. Executive producers Sara Bernstein, and Justin Wilkes will also contribute to the show. “To finally have the opportunity to tell our story in collaboration with the brilliant team at Imagine, and under the direction of Barbara Kopple, is as exciting for us as we hope it will be for viewers,” Evangelista said.
The service is now accessible on devices that offer the Apple TV app, which include iPhone, iPad, Apple TV, iPod touch, Mac, select Samsung and LG smart TVs, Amazon Fire TV, and Roku devices, as well as its website for USD 4.99 per month, along with a seven-day free trial.
