Filmzie, the free movie and TV streaming platform, announces its expansion in the U.S. market, with the launch of its service on the Roku platform. With the festive holidays just around the corner, the integration means viewers across the U.S. have a treasure trove of Christmas and family film favourites to access that are completely free. There are no apps to download, viewers can find any film or series from the wider Filmzie slate via Roku’s own search function and can watch them instantly without any membership fees.

Matej Boda, CEO of Filmzie says: “The U.S. viewer is incredibly receptive to finding great films wherever they may be. Through distributing on the Roku platform, we are able to provide a large audience of streamers the ability to discover interesting content and watch for free, from great dramas, documentaries, comedies, art-house, and all the wonderful other genres out there.” The launch on Roku is the cornerstone of Filmzie’s commitment to bringing free, high-quality movies and TV shows to U.S. audiences and follows the success of the streamer with film lovers in the UK and across Europe.

For film aficionados and the casual viewer alike, Filmzie boasts a growing list of movies and series ranging from timeless classics to new releases from both major studios and indie producers, that have been loved by viewers across Europe. These titles include Edgar G. Ulmer’s classic noir film "Detour", Jamin Winans’ indie fantasy/sci-fi movie "Ink", and the debut feature from comedy writer Jason Headley, "A Bad Idea Gone Wrong".

Filmzie’s U.S. service continues its multi-market international roll-out, after successful launches in Europe and Australia. Additional territories and platforms, with localised catalogues will be announced throughout 2022.
