Filmzie, the free movie streaming and social platform, is now available as a channel on Samsung TV Plus in Australia. Following its success with film lovers in the UK, the launch sees Filmzie channel on Samsung Smart TVs, meaning it will be seamlessly integrated to its viewers’ connected TVs – there are no programmes or additional applications to download.

Filmzie is a movie streaming and social platform with over 1,000 titles in its catalogue. It is designed for film fans eager to discover new movies and offers expertly curated films from a broad collection of both iconic and new works. Serving as more than just a film library, Filmzie allows its viewers to build communities for discovering, discussing, and reviewing movies.

For film aficionados and the casual viewer alike, the streaming service boasts a growing list of titles ranging from timeless classics to new releases from both major studios and indie producers. These titles include Edgar G. Ulmer’s classic noir film "Detour", Jamin Winans’ indie fantasy/sci-fi movie "Ink", and the debut feature from comedy writer Jason Headley, "A Bad Idea Gone Wrong".

Matej Boda, CEO of Filmzie says: “We’re happy to be growing Filmzie across the world and giving movie lovers access to great dramas, documentaries, comedies, art-house, and all the wonderful other genres between. By providing free films and series we’re giving people a more economical choice and we’ve been able to see how people in the UK and Europe have enjoyed exploring new, and unknown movies.  We can’t wait to see what Australia thinks of the different, entertaining, and passionate range of titles we have to offer.
