WarnerMedia announced that classic comedy show “Friends" is HBO Max's most popular series since the streaming service's launch in late May. “Love Life” followed at number 2 and fellow former sitcom “The Big Bang Theory” was the third-most watched program.

HBO Max garnered 4.1 million subscribers after its first full month since launching on 27th May, but the service is at an in cpometition with its two US rivals, Roku and Amazon Fire TV.

The company also said that 23% of its subscribers are between 18 and 24 years of age, much lower than the average age for an HBO subscriber. It noted that it’s seeing 70% more time spent on HBO Max vs. HBO Now. HBO Max did not provide any specific viewership numbers, but the news gives at least an idea of what people are watching on the service.

The occurance showcases the evolving fight between those who make the content and those who distribute it, a new-age carriage dispute, such as the one's TV providers such as Dish and Comcast routinely engage with media giants like Disney and CBS.
