HBO Max confirms March 8 for second wave of European launches

The platform will debut in: Bosnia and Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Croatia, Czech Republic, Hungary, Moldova, Montenegro, Netherlands, North Macedonia, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Serbia, Slovakia, and Slovenia.

Following its launch in the Nordics and Spain in October 2021, WarnerMedia’s premium streaming service HBO Max will launch in a further 15 European countries on March 8, 2022. The 15 countries are Bosnia and Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Croatia, Czech Republic, Hungary, Moldova, Montenegro, Netherlands, North Macedonia, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Serbia, Slovakia, and Slovenia.

HBO Max is currently live in 46 territories across the Americas and Europe, rising to 61 with these launches. The platform is going global as part of a phased roll out and later this year will expand to a further six European countries including Greece and Turkey.“HBO Max is a new streaming experience offering the very best entertainment, movies, original series, and kids programming from Warner Bros, HBO, DC, Cartoon Network, Max Originals, and more. We are thrilled to confirm that, on March 8, HBO Max is arriving in 15 additional European countries as we continue making the platform available across the continent and beyond,”  said Christina Sulebakk, General Manager at HBO Max EMEA.

HBO Max brings together new and iconic series and movies from Warner Bros, HBO, DC, Cartoon Network, and Max Originals in one place for the first time, including Warner Bros movies just 45 days after their theatrical release. Top Warner Bros films that will be available include “The Matrix Resurrections,” “Dune,” “King Richard,” “The Suicide Squad,” and “Tom and Jerry.”

New Max Originals include “Station Eleven,” “Peacemaker,” “Raised by Wolves” (season 2), and “Sex Lives of College Girls.” European Max Originals coming to the platform include “Todo Lo Otro,” “Kamikaze,” “Lust,” “Ruxx,” “The Thaw,” “The Informant,” and “Garcia!”. There is also non-scripted entertainment with “Expecting Amy,” “Finding Magic Mike,” “FBoy Island,” and “Selena + Chef.” Kids' content includes “Teen Titans Go!,” “The Amazing World of Gumball,” “Looney Tunes Cartoons,” and “Cocomelon.”
