Tubi, Fox Corporation’s free streaming service, has announced a new strategic partnership with Globo, the largest content producer in Brazil. This collaboration will bring a carefully curated selection of award-winning and audience-acclaimed Brazilian telenovelas to Mexico and Latin America, available to users at no cost.

David Salmon, EVP and International Managing Director at Tubi highlighted the global importance of telenovelas: "Telenovelas know no borders. And in Mexico, we know how deeply they resonate with emotions, heritage, and identity. That’s why this alliance with Globo is so important: it adds powerful stories to Tubi’s catalog, at a time when Mexicans are increasingly seeking free, high-quality content," commented.

The following titles are already available: "The Life We Lead," "Precious Pearl, International Emmy Award winner," "Sweet Diva," and "Celebrity." Starting May 1st, new productions will be added, including "The Favorite" and "Empire." Let´s remember since its launch in Mexico in 2020 and expansion across the region in 2022, Tubi has seen over 70% growth in total viewing time (TVT) in the country. Its catalog now includes more than 40,000 movies and TV episodes, including Hollywood hits, local productions, and now, classic Brazilian dramas that defined an era. This content expansion comes shortly after Tubi’s announcement of free live streaming of Liga MX matches exclusive to the platform, reinforcing its commitment to delivering premium entertainment at no cost for users in Mexico and Latin America.

Finally,  added Isadora Filpi, Content Distribution and Partnerships at Globo emphasized how these impact Latin American audiences:"These telenovelas have earned a special place in audiences’ hearts, and this collaboration allows us to keep sharing the best of Brazilian fiction across the region. Latin America is already familiar with our telenovelas and the quality of our storytelling, which is why we’re thrilled to partner with Tubi to expand the reach of our content," stated.
