Lionsgate+ will now become available through Mercado Livre. “Mercado Livre has an impressive reach across Latin America and is an ideal partner for us as we continue to deepen our presence in the region,” Darren Nielson, EVP, International Networks for STARZ said. “With a slate of successful returning series like ‘The Great’ and ‘Gangs of London,’ combined with growing local language originals, we look forward to sharing our service with Mercado Livre users and welcoming them to Lionsgate+.”

Mercado Livre will sell LIONSGATE+’s app, kicking off in Brazil, with other territories launching the platform in upcoming months. The recent agreement with the Latin American eCommerce platform spans Brazil, Mexico, Chile and Colombia.

As part of the agreement, customers will be able to subscribe via Mercado Livre to Lionsgate+’s catalog of premium content that includes dark comedy “Nacho,” along with period dramas “The Great” and “The Serpent Queen” as well as true crime drama “The Act.” The platform offers numerous popular television titles, including Spanish language Original series like “Señorita 89” in Latin America, plus an extensive collection of movies that become available on the platform each month.

“The goal of Mercado Livre is to offer to our members the best of both worlds: the combination of benefits from the unbeatable ecosystem of Mercado Livre together with the best premium video content from the leading streaming platforms. With Lionsgate+ as a partner we add to our offer some of the most successful movies and series in the world," said Luiz Felipe Barros, VP of Loyalty and Entertainment at Mercado Livre.
