"Black Mirror"
New episodes of Black Mirror are set to arrive soon. Season 7 of Charlie Brooker’s dark, satirical anthology series will premiere on April 10. Netflix previously revealed the lead cast members in a cryptic “data drop,” listing them alphabetically. The trailer weaves together scenes from the new episodes into a unified preview of the dystopian series, accompanied by a haunting cover of Dream a Little Dream. Showcasing a star-studded cast, the clips span multiple genres as creator and writer Charlie Brooker once again delves into predictive sci-fi, exploring themes of AI, human consciousness, and technology.
Brooker said during Netflix’s annual Geeked Week festival in September: “You can expect a mix of genres and styles. We’ve got six episodes this time, and two of them are basically feature-length. Some of them are deeply unpleasant, some are quite funny, and some are emotional," commented.
Also, Brooker described the new season as a return to the essence of "Black Mirror", emphasizing its classic sci-fi roots. He mentioned that while the episodes contain unsettling moments, they don’t necessarily rely on traditional horror elements. Instead, the season embraces a more nuanced approach to disturbing storytelling.
