Paramount+ will soon introduce a $5 ad-supported subscription to save customers half the cost of its $10 commercial-free plan.

Though both plans will offer tens of thousands of titles, the service’s main subscription, labeled the “essential” plan features additional content that isn’t included in the ad-supported one, such as local and national news coverage with CBSN and CBS live and 4K, HDR10 and Dolby Vision content, as well as select sports coverage.

In addition to the cost-effective tier, the service will also offer a 30-day free trial upon entering the coupon code: “MOVIES,” valid only for monthly subscriptions. The deal, offering the option to cancel before the free trial is up, will be available through 30th June.

Paramount+ is currently available in the US, the Nordics, and parts of Latin America, and will soon reach Australia. No further expansion has been confirmed. Viewers will receive access to popular shows such as "Star Trek: Discovery" and Nickelodeon’s "Rugrats,” with additional CBS, Paramount Pictures, MTV, BET, Nickelodeon, Comedy Central, and the Smithsonian Channel titles set to debut in upcoming months.

There are over 50 original shows in the works, including new episodes of 90s sitcom “Frasier” and a TV series based on “The Italian Job” movie. “Mission: Impossible 7”  will also become available on the service within 45 days of their theatrical release alongside “No Time to Die.”
