Sky confirms the fall debut of "Romulus II- The War For Rome"

The series is set to debut exclusively on Sky and Streaming Only on NOW in october.

Sky has scheduled the release of "Romulus II- The War For Rome" for October. The second chapter of the Sky Original series by Matteo Rovere and produced by Sky, Cattleya and Groenlandia in association with ITV Studios is set to air exclusively on Sky and streaming only on NOW.

Season Two continues showcasing the birth of Rome in the sustainable Italian Sky Original production, made in line with the commitment of the Sky group and the Sky Zero campaign, which aims to be the first media company in Europe to become Net Zero Carbon by 2030. Similar to season one, the second season of the series is distributed by ITV Studios in more than 40 territories and shot entirely in proto-Latin. The directing team is made up of Matteo Rovere, Michele Alhaique and Enrico Maria Artale, all directors of the first season, and Francesca Mazzoleni (Punta Sacra, Succede). Filippo Gravino and Guido Iuculano return as screenplay writers, joined in the writers' room by Flaminia Gressi and Federico Gnesini.

The eight new episodes will feature the protagonists of Season One, Andrea Arcangeli (Yemos), Marianna Fontana (Ilia) and Francesco Di Napoli (Wiros). Valentina Bellè will be featured in the role of Ersilia, head of the Sabine priestesses; Emanuele Maria Di Stefano,who plays the king of the Sabines Titos Tatios, son of the God Sancos, Rome’s most powerful enemy will also be included, as well as Max Malatesta (Favolacce, Il primo Re) as Sabos, counselor and right-hand man to the king of the Sabines; Ludovica Nasti playing the role of Vibia, the youngest of the Sabine priestesses; while Giancarlo Commare as Atys, the young king of Satricum. Sergio Romano (Amulius), Demetra Avincola (Deftri) and Vanessa Scalera (Silvia) are also set to return.

"In Season Two, we again find Yemos and Wiros, who, united as brothers, founded their city and consecrated it to Rumia," a press release reads. "Rome and her two kings soon become symbols of freedom and comradeship, but they ignite the attention of a powerful enemy: Titos Tatios, the king of the Sabines."
