VIACOMCBS’ PLUTO TV LAUNCHES IN FRANCE

ViacomCBS Networks International’s free ad-supported TV service is offering viewers 40 original channels across different genres, including Pluto TV Ciné, Pluto TV Action and Pluto TV Drama.

ViacomCBS Networks International announced the official launch of its free ad-supported TV service Pluto TV in France. The platform is now available in the country on all major streaming devices (TV, smartphone, tablet, PC) via www.pluto.tv, Pluto’s app, Apple TV, Android TV, Amazon Fire TV, and Chromecast.

Pluto TV is offering viewers 40 original channels across different genres, including Pluto TV Ciné, Pluto TV Action and Pluto TV Drama. Content has been licensed from more than 30 partners, including Paramount, Lionsgate, Endemol Shine/Banijay Rights, Filmrise, Mediawan, Ampersand, All3Media International, and New Dominion Pictures.

Furthermore, the platform has acquired French series such as “Plus Belle La Vie,” “Les Cordier,” “Juge et Flic,” “Louis La Brocante,” “Femmes de Loi,” and “La Maison Des Rocheville”.

Last month, Olivier Jollet, Senior Vice President of Emerging Business at ViacomCBS Networks Europe, Middle East, Africa, and Asia, said: “The launch of Pluto TV in France marks an important step for the growth of our company’s streaming presence in Europe. Pluto TV has already demonstrated its strong appeal in many markets across the world like the UK, GSA, Latin America, and Spain. I’m sure that with its market-centric approach and extensive reach, Pluto TV’s innovative digital model will transform the French streaming and television market, both in terms of consumer experience and ad sales offer”.

Currently, Pluto TV has a global audience of nearly 36 million monthly active users, with 28.4 million in the United States. Its international footprint spans across three continents and 25 countries throughout the United States, Europe and Latin America. The service’s next launch will take place in Italy in late 2021.
