VICE DISTRIBUTION EXTENDS LICENSING PARTNERSHIP WITH HULU

The deal will allow the recently launched network distribution company to offer 130 hours of true crime, factual documentary, entertainment and lifestyle content on the US streaming platform.

Global VICE Media Group distribution group VICE Distribution has renewed its strategic licensing partnership with U.S streaming service Hulu to add over 130 hours of its content to the platform. “We are delighted to expand our partnership with Hulu, who share our passion for impactful, premium factual programming,”  Bea Hegedus, Global Head of Distribution, VICE Media Group, said. “We look forward to bringing our newest hit titles to Hulu while continuing to offer our popular library titles, as we see audience demand increase for VICE content around the world.”

The programming slate features true crime, factual documentary, entertainment, and lifestyle content produced by VICE Studios, Pulse Films, 44 Blue Productions, Railsplitter Pictures, Insight Productions, Citizen Skull, and Rock Salt Releasing. The titles scheduled to debut through the deal include  “Dark Side of Football,” “Dark Side of the 90s,” and one-off documentary “Vice Versa: Chyna,” as well as the most recent seasons of “Dark Side of the Ring” and “Hamilton’s Pharmacopeia.”

The two companies began their partnership in 2019, and most currently offered titles have been available since then, though50 hours of brand new programming will be added to the outlet. The distribution group's recently launched featured a catalog of over 1,000 hours, created across VICE Media Group.

In addition to its agreement with Hulu, VICE Distribution recently launched a FAST channel available on The Roku Channel and Samsung TV Plus and have announced partnerships with Discovery+, Pluto TV, Roku, All 4, and SBS Australia. The company holds discussions concerning future content partnerships with Bell Media in Canada and AMC International in Iberia.
