At Annecy MIFA, Incredible Film is screening its new animated series, "Tummy Tom and the Lost Teddy." "We had our screening event with the presence of Directors Joost van den Bosch and Erik Verkerk," Danielle Raaphorst, CEO of Incredible Film, told Señal News. "Tummy Tom" (4x60') is an animated film series based on bestselling children's books, and the main character, Tummy Tom, is a funny, curious, adventurous, and slightly naughty ginger tomcat. He explores the world around him with his animal friends just like a pre-schooler would.

"Tummy Tom first appeared on Sesame Street in 1978, and Dutch publisher Gottmer started publishing Jet Boeke's stories in 1983. Since then, millions of Tummy Tom books have been sold around the world. Tummy Tom celebrated his 45th birthday last year," she explained. The film will be released in the Netherlands' movie theaters on June 19, 2024, and has been produced by Phanta Animation, known by the animated series "Pim & Pom at the Museum" and "Miss Moxy." "The series is already finished and has a production budget of 2.25 million Euros," Raaphorst added.

Created in The Netherlands, "Tummy Tom" is a 2D hand-drawn animation that stays close to the characters from the books and is narrated in English by Tim Gunther. "The second winter film 'A New Friend for Tummy Tom,' whose production budget is 1.75 million Euros, will be completed by December 2024," Raaphorst anticipated.

"With 'Tummy Tom,' pre-schoolers and toddlers will get the chance to get his or her first real cinema experience. And, together with the orange tomcat, they are allowed to do what every 2-4-year-old loves to do: talk, sing, clap, and stomp along," expressed the CEO of Incredible Film. "After all, at their age, they can't sit still and listen for very long. With 'Tummy Tom.' you don't have to. In fact, their active participation is a must!" she said.
