C21Media has announced the launch of the HOT100 North American Hitmakers, an initiative to profile 100 key executives defining the future of programming in the US and Canada, which will form a cornerstone strand of Content Americas 2024. "In its first year Content Americas reconnected with the Lat Am content community in style, with more than 1,600 executives attending the market," C21 editor-in-chief & managing director David Jenkinson said. "We are now adding the North American commissioning, acquisition and coproduction community to the mix to facilitate even more international business during the event.”

The event, organized by C21 Media, will welcome 100 of the leading North American commissioners, buyers, coproducers, agents and financiers who will discuss and make decisions related to programming in the US and Canada. The focus will be on how the group of content executives is navigating the challenging market and working with international partners to develop global hits.

Key players from the HOT100 will join the conference line-up to discuss the report’s findings, followed by a networking cocktail event tosupport the launch of the report.  Two Content Americas sessions, "Coproducing With The US" and "Coproducing With Canada" will also form part of the Content Americas 2024 agenda. Content Americas will also host the inaugural Rose d’Or Latinos Awards, celebrating the best in Hispanic programming, while the first Cveintiuno 100 Almanac will also be published at the event.

A HOT100 North American Hitmakers strand will form a cornerstone of the Content Americas conference program, adding a US and Canadian seam to the event mix, with a report based on the findings of the initiative published at the event. The strand will run alongside the Hispanic Programming conference programme, which takes a deep dive into Lat Am and Spanish programming, showcasing the leading trends and issues affecting that market. The HOT100 North Americas Hitmakers Report will be published at the event and will provide a benchmark on the trends, issues, threats and opportunities for US and Canadian content business in the future.
