Content Canada has confirmed the return of Shaw Rocket Fund’s Rocket Forum in September 2022 to showcase a hybrid catalog of in-person and virtual events. “We are thrilled to announce Year 2 of Rocket Forum, adding an exciting in-person component to our virtual event," President and CEO, Shaw Rocket Fund, Agnes Augustin, said. “We continue to strengthen our mission to provide a unique platform for celebrating and examining the current state of the Children’s Media Sector in Canada and globally, by offering valuable insights and opportunities for the many voices in the Canadian kids’ production community through the Forum.”
Scheduled to take place at The Drake Hotel on 14 September 2022, Rocket Forum will examine and celebrate the state of the Canadian children’s media sector through dynamic sessions, interactive industry briefings, thought-provoking workshops, and purposeful networking.
Following the in-person event in Toronto, Rocket Forum will release a box-set of digital sessions that will include recordings of the Rocket Forum live event as well as additional sessions, amplified globally via C21, to grant everyone access to the content regardless of geographic location. “Rocket Forum received an overwhelming response when it was launched digitally in 2021, providing an important and comprehensive look at the kids’ content sector in Canada”, said Ferne Cohen, Content Canada’s CEO. “We are delighted to partner with Shaw Rocket Fund again this year to present a multi-faceted program, in-person and online, that we know will make a significant impact in the industry.”
