Content Canada Digital Summit reveals its live programming

All Digital Summit is being offered free of charge for attendees, and it will take place from September 21 – October 1, 2021.

The Content Canada Digital Summit, together with Shaw Rocket Fund, announced the schedule for the live programming for the Rocket Forum and Content Canada programs, running from September 21 – October 1, 2021. All Digital Summit live programming is being offered free of charge for attendees, and includes more than 25 live briefings, roundtables and professional development workshops.

The inaugural Rocket Forum, launching on September 21 will offer an array of live programming including live Briefings with BBC Children’s, WildBrain, Sinking Ship Entertainment, Kidoodle.TV, TVO, Spin Master Entertainment, and Entertainment One; alongside live Roundtables on topics including The future of Canadian kids’ content for underrepresented audiences; Rocket report; and Funding of Canadian kids’ content – case studies;

Featured speakers include Sarah Muller, BBC Children’s; Blair Powers, Sinking Ship Entertainment; Deidre Brennan, WildBrain; Joan Jenkinson, Black Screen Office; Charles Clement, Manito Média; Kaleb Robertson, Fay and Fluffy’s Storytime; Christine Hill, Holland Bloorview Kids Rehabilitation Hospital Foundation; Judy Lung, BIPOC TV & Film; Kim Wilson, Children’s Media Lab, Joy Rosen, Portfolio Entertainment; Raja Khanna, Dark Slope; Mark Bishop, Marble Media; Joan Lambur, Lambur Productions; Sarah Haasz, Pillango Productions, Natalie Osborne, 9 Story Entertainment; Lon Hall, Hall Webber; Brenda Bisner, Kidoodle.TV; Marney Malabar, TVO; Jennifer Dodge, Spin Master Entertainment; and Olivier Dumont, Entertainment One.

Beginning on September 24, the Content Canada live programming will feature buyer’s Briefings with Discovery+, Sony Pictures Television’s Gemstone Studios, Roku, Uninterrupted Canada, BBC Studios, OutTV, BET Networks, CNN, The CW Network, A&E Networks, and Bell Media and Professional Development Briefings including Bell Media & Reelworld Screen Institute; IPF; CBC; and the Canadian Film Center.
