Content Warsaw: Sony Pictures Television to host Showcase for the CEE region

The showcase will feature a line-up of SPT speakers and presentations, to be announced. A raft of leading content suppliers have also confirmed their attendance at the market.

Sony Pictures Television is set to host a CEE Showcase at Content Warsaw on Tuesday June 4, offering a glimpse at the network´s slate for buyers across the CEE region. As well as an exclusive mix of clips, sizzles and full screenings of key titles on the slate, the showcase will feature a line-up of SPT speakers and presentations, to be announced. 

The company is the first major studio to confirm its participation in Content Warsaw, which is designed to bring buyers, coproducers, commissioners, channels and platforms together at the heart of the CEE region for the event, with several more set to be announced. It will take place takes place between 3-6 June 2024.

Mark Young, EVP Distribution & Networks, EMEA, Sony Pictures Television expressed his joy at being part of the event: “Bringing this Sony Pictures Television Showcase to CEE and collaborating with Content Warsaw as our host venue is extremely exciting, and a tremendous way of connecting with friends, partners and buyers across the region. We have a fantastic line-up on our slate this year, and an array of titles which are going to resonate with audiences the world over, and along with my colleagues I can’t wait to come to Warsaw in June;" commented.

The pan-regional players are based in Warsaw, and we will bring key buyers and leading executives from across CEE to the event to ensure it is a must-attend for anyone serious about building business across all markets," noted.

Studio screenings will bookend each day during Content Warsaw, with a marketplace nestled in between. Additionally, a raft of leading content suppliers have also confirmed their attendance at the market, led by Televisa Univision, Global Agency, Federation Studios and Abacus Media rights, with many more to be announced shortly.

WARSAW COPRO PITCH OPENS FOR ENTRIES

The C21 Content Warsaw CoPro Pitch opens for entries, offering a US$15,000 C21Media marketing prize each to two winners, one scripted and one unscripted. Shortlisted projects will showcase live to the international coproduction community at Content Warsaw in June 2024.The competition is open to early stage scripted and unscripted projects from establish ed producers from CEE, looking for wider partnerships across the region or internationally. 

Projects will be shortlisted and a select number will be invited to present a live pitch and the winner will be announced during the event. The deadline for entries is April 8 (midnight GMT), 2024.
