A historic partner of Côte Ouest, part of Mediawan Africa, for more than 25 years, Globo will join forces with the company for the second consecutive year at the 4th edition of Mip Africa, taking place from September 1–3, 2025, at the Cape Town International Convention Centre (CTICC 2) in Cape Town, South Africa.
Jonathan Lett, Managing Director of Côte Ouest: "We are delighted to be sharing the same booth with our partner Globo. This synergy is a natural fit, especially given that Africa and Brazil share a common history and cultural heritage, which is reflected in our stories. Together, we aim to present captivating content that resonates far beyond our borders and to create lasting partnerships”.
Rodrigo Nascimento, Head of International Sales - EMEA of Globo: “Globo and Côte Ouest have a long-standing partnership, and we are delighted to strengthen theses ties at MIP Africa. The continent is an important territory for Globo, as it connects with our stories, telenovelas, and series. I believe that our joint presence at the event will open up opportunities to bring Globo’s content to new audiences”.
This unmissable event, which brings together producers, broadcasters, platforms and economic operators, will once again be an opportunity for Côte Ouest Audiovisuel to be one of its players with the ambition, on the one hand, to expand its presence and highlight the diversity of its activities and the strength of its partnerships and, on the other hand, to reaffirm the historic partnership that binds it to the Brazilian giant Globo.
For over 25 years, Globo and Côte Ouest have forged an exclusive partnership in Africa, which has grown ever stronger over the years. To date, Côte Ouest has acquired over 9,000 hours of hit premium content from Globo. This content, carefully dubbed into French and English by Côte Ouest's in-house studio, Studio1, or by external providers, is then distributed to over 77 countries in Africa and others.
By combining their expertise, Globo and Côte Ouest aim to highlight the diversity and potential of audiovisual content from these regions and explore new opportunities.
