Last Tuesday, September 12, Inside Content held the semifinal round of the International Emmy Awards in the non-scripted entertainment category. The selection round took place at the headquarters of the French Institute in Madrid, Spain, where throughout the day content in this category was analyzed and voted.

The jury was made up of 15 leading professionals from the Spanish audiovisual industry who judged the works competing in the non-scripted entertainment category. This category includes all those programmes dedicated mainly to entertain and/or inform, with dialogue but without a script. That is to say, among others, content such as talent shows, factual reality, reality shows, variety shows, game shows, award shows, etc.

The International Emmy Award for Best Unscripted Entertainment Program is a category presented by the International Academy of Television Arts & Sciences at the annual International Emmy Awards for unscripted reality, game or genre shows produced and shown outside the United States. Inside Content, organizer of Conecta Fiction, Conecta Fiction & Entertainment and ONSeries, together with its CEO, Geraldine Gonard, has been hosting one of the semifinal rounds for four years now. Moreover, in 2020 and 2021, it has been able to organize, together with the Academy, the semifinal round of the short-form series category, and in 2022, as well as this year, the semifinal round of the non-scripted entertainment.

The members of the jury in Madrid included: Macarena Rey, CEO of Shine Iberia; Ana Cueto, Head of Research at Atresmedia; Javier Perez de Silva, Co-CEO of Beta Entertainment Spain; Carmen Gonzalez, General Manager at Big Bang; José Velasco, Founder & President of Izen Producciones; Sergio Sancho, CEO of Phileas Productions; Marta Manzano, CEO of Teseo Producciones; TV host Raquel Sanchez Silva; Jorge Salvador, Producer at 7yAcción; María José Rodríguez, Head of Spanish Originals at Prime Video; Tinet Rubira, General Manager at Gestmusic; Meritxell Estruch, TV Program Director at Cuarzo TV; Carlos Garcia Hirschfeld, General Manager at La Nuez Producciones; host, singer, illusionist, television, and radio collaborator Lorena Castell; and Javier Martinez, Director of Originals at You First Sports.

All the members of the jury have gathered under the supervision of Nathaniel Brendel, Senior Director, Emmy Judging at The International Academy of Television Arts & Sciences, and have been accompanied by the Inside Content team as hosts of the day, and by Laurent Coulon, Cultural and audiovisual attaché for France in Spain.
