The 2021 International Emmy recently announced the winners for its News and Current Affair awards. The were recently presented, highlighting the title "A Warning" from Italy on Sky News and in the United Kingdom, and "In Cold Blood" by Exposure and DSP/ITV in the United Kingdom.

Both global awards were presented by the International Academy of Television Arts & Sciences during an online ceremony with the National Academy’s US News Emmys.

"A Warning" is set in 2020, when coronavirus spread from the far-east, Italy overtook China as the epicenter.  The phenomenon has not been seen yet until Sky News revealed the  true extent of the crisis in this world exclusive coverage.

"In Cold Blood" examines the biggest treatment disaster in NHS history, a tragedy which killed more people than Grenfell, Hillsborough, 7/7 and the Birmingham bombings combined. Yet its scale and impact has until now been relatively understated in Britain.
