During the upcoming LA Screenings, Globo will present new releases and business models and relaunch major audience hits. The company's portfolio features timeless hits that have resonated with different generations in Brazil and worldwide.

"We see the LA Screenings Independents as another opportunity to showcase to the international market what it means to be Globo: a content producer and distributor with a vast portfolio that provides solutions for any type of audience. Our past great successes are of enormous importance in this positioning, to this day with high demand and excellent results, representing another way to showcase to other territories the best of what we have produced," said Angela Colla, Head of International Business and Coproductions at Globo.

One title for this initiative is "Brazil Avenue," a work by João Emanuel Carneiro, nominated for the International Emmy for Best Telenovela in 2013. It depicts the dramatic clash between two iconic Brazilian TV characters, Rita (Débora Falabella) and Carminha (Adriana Esteves). It is among the highlights of the products that will be offered at the event in Los Angeles. The portfolio also includes the winners of the International Emmy for Best Telenovela in 2009 and 2014, respectively, "India: A Love Story" and "Precious Pearl."

Furthermore, among the successes are "Brave Woman," by Glória Perez (the same author of 'India: A Love Story'), which addresses human trafficking through the saga of Morena (Nanda Costa), and "Anything for Love," written by Manoel Carlos and aired on TV Globo almost 30 years ago. The production, which has been sold to over 40 territories, speaks about the unconditional love of a mother, Helena (Regina Duarte), and her daughter, Maria Eduarda (Gabriela Duarte). Another work that will be re-released is 'Terra Nostra' by Benedito Ruy Barbosa. The telenovela, which has already been sold to over 80 territories, tells the story of Italian immigration in Brazil and its influence on the formation of Brazilian society through the romance between the two main characters.
