L.A SCREENINGS: VISION FILMS HIGHLIGHTS AWARD-WINNING TALENT AND THREE NEW TITLES

The worldwide distributor is offering the art documentary “Banksy and the Rise of Outlaw Art”; the crime drama “Adverse” and the family and inspirational movie “Hope Ranch” to the virtual attendants.

The Worldwide Sales Agency and North American Distributor Vision Films announced three highlighted titles including the new Thomas Nicholas, Mickey Rourke, Penelope Ann Miller, Sean Astin,  Lou Diamond Philips crime drama “Adverse”, the family/inspirational feature film “Hope Ranch”, (aka “Riding Faith”) starring John Schneider and Grace Van Dien, and the feature documentary “Banksy and the Rise of Outlaw Art” to complement their virtual 2020 LA Screenings lineup.

“Adverse” (96 minutes) is directed by Brian A. Metcalf, produced by Metcalf and Thomas Nicholas, and stars Thomas Nicholas (Walt Before Mickey), Academy Awards Nominee Mickey Rourke (The Wrestler), Golden Globe Nominee Penelope Ann Miller (The Artist), Academy Awards Nominee Sean Astin (The Lord of the Ring Trilogy), Golden Globe Nominee Lou Diamond Phillips (La Bamba), and introducing Kelly Arjen.

Synopsis: A ride-share driver with a questionable past attempts to pay off a dangerous crime syndicate to save his sister. With nowhere else to turn, he is driven to retribution and must settle the debt…or die trying.

"Banksy and the Rise of Outlaw Art" (108 minutes), is directed by Elio España, produced by España and Tom O'Dell, and features interviews with Ben Eine (world-famous artist), Steve Lazarides (Banksy’s former right-hand man), John Nation (graffiti pioneer), Felix 'FLX' Braun (author & artist), Risk (renowned street artist), Ket (author & artist), Scape (author & artist), Will Ellsworth-Jones (Banksy biographer), Richard Jones (author & publisher), Simon Reynolds (pop-culture author), Claire De DobayRifelj (art historian).

Synopsis: Banksy, the world’s most infamous street artist, whose political art, criminal stunts, and daring invasions outraged the establishment and created a revolutionary new movement while his identity remained shrouded in mystery.

"Hope Ranch" (85 minutes) is directed by Paco Aguilar, produced by PejmanPartiyeli, and stars Grace Van Dien (The Village), John Schneider (The Dukes of Hazzard), Marisa Brown (Glass) and T.C. Stallings (War Room).

Synopsis: After losing her father, a young girl, and her mom, with a little help from their majestic white horse and friends and neighbors, come up with a plan to raise enough money to save the family farm. Hope Ranch is an uplifting and inspirational story about family, faith, and never losing hope despite all odds.
