Dori Media Group is bringing the unique new horror comedy series "Soul Sucker" out to MIP London, where the company will be hosting a premiere global screening of the series (8 episodes), with talents Bat Hen Sabag and Daphna Levin.

"Soul Sucker" is a family drama, a horror comedy and detective mystery all-in-one 8-episode series that has a pinch of gypsy folklore. It is a modern fairytale about witches and curses among mothers and daughters and is inspired by Sabag’s life and follows three generations of an oppressive matriarchal family (grandmother, mother and daughter).

"Soul Sucker", which is set to launch on HOT (Israel) later this year, is created, written and stars Bat Hen Sabag, who was behind the award-winning Israeli series "Dumb" (which was recently remade in Germany as "Rampensau" with other local adaptions expected to launch later this year). The series is co-created, written and directed by Daphna Levin, who created, directed and served as Executive Producer on "Euphoria" and co-writer on "In Treatment."

“Soul Sucker is unlike any other series we’ve taken out to the international marketplace, it is a comedy, a detective mystery, a family drama and a horror series all wrapped together in a program that you simply cannot take your eyes off,” says Nadav Palti, CEO & President of Dori Media Group. “Soul Sucker is created by and stars Bat Hen Sabag, whose unique vision made 'Dumb' a breakout global hit and co-created by Daphna Levin, who created, directed and produced 'Euphoria'. So, we’re very confident that this truly unique new series will be received in a similar fashion by audiences around the world, too.”

Earlier this year, Dori Media announced its hit unscripted format “Power Couple” has been sold and renewed in numerous global territories, including Brazil, Germany and India. And recently at MIPCOM, Dori Media unveiled a bounty of new unscripted offerings, including dating shows "Spy Date" and "Love at Third Sight", redefining romance by exploring love’s unexpected sparks in the later chapters of life, trivia-based game show "Smart Face", talent competition "Da Next", street game "Intuition", reality competition "Stand-Up Warrior" and the shiny floor game show "The Best of All."
