After two years of absence because of the pandemic, NATPE Budapest International returns in full force as an in-person event, which will be celebrated from June 27 to 30 at the InterContinental Hotel of Budapest. The marketplace is expected to have around 300 buyers, including 37 broadcasters from the CEE region, and more than 60 exhibitors from the United States, the United Kingdom, Latin America, Central Europe, and more.
Confirmed exhibitors include MGM Television, NBCUniversal, Warner Bros. Discovery, Paramount Global, Columbia Pictures, A+E Networks, Madd Entertainment, Kanal D International, Calinos, Global Agency, ATV, ZDF, Inter Medya, and Globo, among many others. This year, there will also be a Ukrainian Pavilion, featuring five Ukrainian broadcasters: Film.UA Group, 1+1 Media, Ukraine TV Channels, StarLight Media, UA Suspilne, and Ukrainian Content Global Cooperation.
Moreover, NATPE Budapest International is preparing the sixth edition of Pitch & Play Live! following a two-year pause due to the pandemic. The fifth edition was organized online in 2020 as part of NATPE Virtual Budapest. The format pitching contest will be one of the main highlights of the market, continuing the tradition to find the best formats from the Eastern European Region with the biggest potential to travel internationally. Previous winners have successfully got their shows picked up globally.
