The US production and distribution company Nicely Entertainment sets the year with landings at Berlinale EFM  with new movies and a new sub-label called "Darkly Entertainment". The lineup features titles starring prominent actresses such as Denise Richards in "Hunting Housewives," produced by  A+E´s Lifetime, and Ashlee Simpson in "The Recipe Files," from QVC+. Paris-based Vice President of International Sales, Rachel Siegenthaler, will be representing Nicely at Berlin.

Nicely’s brand new genre-driven sub-label Darkly "Entertainment"—which debuted during AFM—leads with its Adam Beach thriller "Exile as well" as its brand new 2024 Christmas-Crime film "Holiday Hold-Up", starring Jermey Holm and John Pirruccello. The CEO, Vanessa Shapiro, explained, “We’re thrilled to return to EFM with a full slate of brand-new movies.  This represents Darkly Entertainment’s first EFM and we know that both movies Exile and Holiday Hold Up will find a new audience around the world," noted.

Nicely has already closed international deals during Miami’s NATPE on its line-up including a package deal with UK’s Channel 5 lead by "A Christmas Frequency" with "The Abigail Mysteries", "Holiday for Hire", "A Christmas Vintage", and "The Christmas Venue". The company also locked a package of films with CEE’s NBCUni, including "One Perfect Match", "Romance at the Vineyard", "Baked with a Kiss "and "Love in Bloom". MENA distributor Italia Film secured disaster film "Super Icyclone" along with "A Christmas Frequency" and "Finally Me" while Phars Film scooped up MENA rights to "Bad Connection" for a theatrical release in the region.

Earlier this month, the enterprise expanded its US executive team with the appointment of Anna Buksowicz as Marketing Manager, reporting to Scott Kirkpatrick, Nicely’s Executive VP of distribution and co-productions.
