NATPE Global successfully concluded its return to Miami this year with more than 1,500 registered delegates and more than 700 top-tier buyers. The event was celebrated from January 16 to 18 at the InterContinental Hotel.

According to figures released by the market’s new owner, Brunico Communications, the majority of attendees came from the United States (56%), although there was also a strong participation from Latin America (23%), as well as Europe (10%), Asia (4%), and Africa (2%). In total, more than 70 countries were represented by the companies and executives who attended.

Furthermore, NATPE Global disclosed that 120 super-indie, boutique and independent distributors and producers attended. Five companies were present with cabanas and 17 clients with meeting suites. At the same time, there were 33 meeting tables, 16 booths, and four pavilions.

One of the key initiatives at NATPE Global was the NATPE Global Pitch Showcase, an international live pitch event for projects in Scripted Comedy, Drama & Unscripted/Formats. Finalists had the chance to pitch live to an audience of decision-makers during the event, giving them access to an international network of contacts and personalized mentoring. Another new development was a mentorship program for women in partnership with the Worldwide Audiovisual Women Association (WAWA).

Furthermore, NATPE Global adopted from Brunico Communications’ proven structured networking formats to offer a range of networking options designed to facilitate the discovery of new partners and provide the opportunity to forge new relationships and connections.
