Pascal Bonitzer's new feature "Auction" will inaugurate the 26th Unifrance Rendez-Vous in Paris, which will take place from January 16 through 23, 2024. The film is produced by SBS Productions and sold by Pyramide International.

A prolific screenwriter since the mid-1970s, Pascal Bonitzer has lent his signature to numerous films that have left their mark on French auteur cinema. "Auction" is his ninth film, and the first time he has worked with Alex Lutz and Léa Drucker.

UNIFRANCE RENDEZ-VOUS PROGRAM
The Unifrance Rendez-Vous in Paris will be officially launched on January 16 with the 4th Export Day, bringing together in the morning at the CNC, distributors, broadcasters, producers, exporters, artists, and institutions from France and Europe. In the late morning of January 16, film market screenings will start and run until the morning of January 19 at Le Balzac, Le Lincoln, Le Club de l'Étoile and Cinémas Publicis, all located in the Champs-Elysées district.

French TV Screenings (exclusive presentations of previously unseen French programs to audiovisual buyers) will kick off on the afternoon of the 16th at the Club de l'Étoile, and continue until the late morning of January 17. In the evening of January 16, the Rendez-vous' opening film, "Auction" by Pascal Bonitzer, will screen at the UGC Ciné Cité Bercy cinema, followed by a cocktail reception bringing together exporters and buyers (cinema and audiovisual), producers and institutional representatives.
The cinema and audiovisual markets will take place from January 17 through 19 inclusive, at the Hôtel du Collectionneur for the cinema market, and at the Salons Hoche for the audiovisual market.

On Thursday January 18, at the French Ministry of Culture, a French Cinema Award will be presented by Unifrance to an artist who has worked to promote French cinema internationally.

The press junket, dedicated to French films and audiovisual programs scheduled for release or broadcast abroad in 2024, will take place from January 20 through 23 at the Hôtel du Collectionneur, with a host of French artists (directors, actors, showrunners, etc.) on hand to meet international journalists.
